Abergavenny – Saturday 2nd December – 100 Acres undetected Pasture

Abergavenny event 2nd December. The nearest postcode for this event is NP7 0PU, you need to Sat Nav the Racehorse Inn. If you approach the inn with it on your left its 0.3 miles down the B4248 on the left. If you are approaching with the Inn on the right you have drove too far and passed the lorry park entrance (red dot on the map) This is where we are parking as its hardstanding. Some of the fields are by the lorry park but we may require a lift on a tractor and trailer to some of the other fields are they are spread out and we are unable to park any closer as the fields are too wet to park on.

This event will be held on Saturday 2nd December on 100 acres of undetected grazed pasture, mostly flat with a couple of hilly spots.

The farmer has informed us that the land is mainly flat as seen in the above event picture, although there are some hilly sections. We have been informed that there are the remains of old Victorian cottages in one of the fields although it is a steep walk down and back up from that area.

We will be just outside of Abergavenny bordering the Blaenavon Heritage Town

Have the pasture fields been ploughed in recent times or is it typical Welsh farmland with most stuff too deep to get a signal on???

Hi David, yes it does look like it could be a good area to search, although im more interested in the remains of the old Victorian cottages on the land personally. Joe
